Hi, I’m Shelsea — clinical herbalist, licensed holistic aesthetician, mother, educator, formulator, and lifelong seeker of the “why” behind the body’s imbalances. My work was born from necessity, sharpened through study, and refined through more than a decade of clinical experience.
My journey into herbal medicine began in 2009, when my daughter faced a life-altering autoimmune diagnosis. What started as a desperate search for answers grew into a passion, a vocation, and a calling rooted in natural medicine, nutrition, and human physiology.
Since then, my path has been one of deep study, hands-on formulation, and thousands of hours dedicated to understanding how plants restore the body.
I have practiced holistic skin care as a licensed aesthetician since 2005, blending herbal knowledge with understanding of dermal physiology, inflammation, and topical healing.
My love for herbal medicine was ignited while caring for my daughter’s health, leading me into structured study, mentorship, and rigorous training.
In 2015, I completed a comprehensive certification in traditional herbal studies, earning formal training in:
• Herbal healing foundations
• The Digestive System
• The Immune System
• The Reproductive System
• Liver & Skin physiology
• The Heart & Circulatory System
• The Urinary System
• The Nervous System
• Medicine Making: tinctures, teas, syrups, elixirs, salves, ointments, capsules & more
This program laid the groundwork — but the real transformation came next.
Immediately after certification, I was accepted into a rare apprenticeship under Kathleen Gould, RH (AHG) — an internationally respected herbalist and educator.
Under Kathleen’s mentorship, I gained:
• Over 192+ hours of clinical herbalism training
• Advanced herbal formulation techniques
• Case study review + real client interactions
• Deep study of organ systems, energetics & Materia medica
• Hands-on practice preparing tinctures, salves, oils, capsules & remedies
• Skills in intake assessment, terrain mapping & individualized protocols
Kathleen’s teachers included:
Patch Adams
James Duke, PhD
Michael Tierra
David Hoffman
Susan Weed
Tieraona Low Dog, MD
Rosemary Gladstar
This lineage matters — and you carry it forward beautifully.
From 2011 onward, I worked alongside multiple naturopathic physicians, chiropractors, and holistic practitioners — most notably as the Director of the Natural Medicinary with Dr. Bramstedt, NMD.
There, I:
• formulated hundreds of custom remedies
• advised patients on herbal and nutritional support
• refined pharmacology understanding within herbal practice
• managed clinical inventory & quality
• provided herbal protocols for a wide range of conditions
• collaborated in patient care for autoimmune, gut, hormone, and chronic inflammatory issues
This experience sharpened my clinical intuition — something only time, patients, and hands-on practice can teach.
I believe people heal when they are educated, empowered, and supported — not when they are told to rely on a practitioner.
Herbalism honors the whole human:
the body’s physiology, the emotional terrain, the environment, trauma, diet, digestion, and the subtle patterns that create imbalance.
Herbs alone are powerful… but true, lasting change requires a willingness to shift the lifestyle beneath the symptoms.
My role is simple:
to offer knowledge, guidance, and the medicine of the plants —
and to help you remember that healing is always possible.
My work brings together:
• herbal medicine
• holistic skin care
• autoimmune + gut health specialization
• diet & allergy awareness
• functional physiology
• integrative wellness principles
I combine science, ancestral wisdom, and intuition to create powerful formulations that support the whole person — inside and out.
We are all shaped by the remedies passed down from our grandmothers, the teas we brew in moments of need, the plants we reach for instinctively, and the memory of healing that lives inside us.
Plants reconnect us to the heart and soul of Mother Earth. They offer a gentle, holistic path that ignites the body’s natural wisdom.
Herbalism brought me full circle — to healing, to purpose, and to a deeper understanding of what it means to care for ourselves and each other.
With the holistic model of herbalism, I found my purpose:
to educate, empower, and walk beside those seeking balance in their health.
May the plants guide you, may knowledge strengthen you, and may your wellness journey remind you of your own resilience.
Love & Light,
Shelsea
