Shelsea, your herbalist, grew with a vision to support her family via natural herbal remedies.
This vision & quest turned into a passion for educating the community with organic, natural & herbal personal health care.
She has been practicing holistic skin care as a licensed aesthetician since 2005.
She acquired a love for medicine making & herbal practices in late 2009 in caring for her daughter’s auto immune disease.
In 2015 she completed a comprehensive certification course in the study of traditional uses of medicinal botanicals & received a Certificate of Completion.
The curriculum included:
·Introduction to Herbal Healing
· The Heart and Circulatory System
· Medicine Making: Tinctures, Herbal Blends/remedies, Oils, Salves/Ointments, Capsules, Syrups/Elixir's, and More
Immediately following the certification course she applied & was accepted into the apprenticeship program, studying & learning alongside Kathleen Gould, Herbalist RH (AHG). Kathleen mentored her & shared her diverse knowledge.
Kathy studied internationally with recognized Herbalists such as Patch Adams, James Duke Ph.D, Michael Tierra, David Hoffman, Susan Weed, Tieroana Lowdog MD, & Rosemary Gladstar.; she is also a nationally recognized author & lecturer on Herbal Healing.
Shelsea gained an in-depth understanding of the healing benefits of herbal remedies, medicine making & practical application of herbal medicine & their uses; lending the ability to heal physical imbalances & maintain proper health.
Her hands-on experience in preparing herbal remedies, from tinctures & teas to salves & capsules, has equipped her with the practical skills necessary to support a diverse range of health concerns.
Apprenticing at a local community & gathering place, she was able to work one on one with clients seeking herbal remedies, empowering clients & giving hope via herbal protocols, for every day ailments & illnesses.
Shelsea has collaborated with several Naturopathic Doctors, Chiropractors & Holistic Practitioners for over 15 years. Focused on a scientific approach to herbs & the body, she has honed her herbal formulating skills to care for clients & see to their individual health needs.
She dedicated herself to Naturally Nurturing Wellness Center & patients since 2011. She was a trusted partner & ally to Dr. Bramstedt, NMD since her daughter became a patient in 2008.
She became the Director of the Natural Medicinary in 2015, developing & maintaining the medicinary & dispensing herbal medicine – she gained knowledge of advanced principles in medicine making, pharmacology, advanced formulations, modes of administration/delivery, labeling & identification in a clinical setting.
She made lifelong friends with patients & showed an unwavering dedication to the practice.
With the holistic model of herbalism, I have a purpose! I offer my knowledge & the gift of herbal medicine, so that we can better understand the body, mind & spirit on a deeper level.
We are all part of the TRIBE that is the MAGIC of herbalism. Whether you are gifted with a green thumb, drink herbal teas, apply topical herbal ointments, or remember your grandmother’s ancient remedy; plants do teach us, they take us to the heart & soul of Mother Earth.
